Lunch - Dinner - Dessert
There's no better way to spend an afternoon in Midtown than exploring the eclectic culinary scene. All of our tours will start at Ponce de Leon and Myrtle at an inconspicuous two-story brick building that is the home of the award-winning Top Flr restaurant.
Guests will taste and sip their way through historic Midtown. As we stroll through some of the oldest neighborhoods in the Southeast you will become acquainted with the hottest
restaurants and hidden nooks in the area.
Your host will guide you through a tantalizing tasting experience lasting 3 hours for the dinner tour and 2 hours for the lunch and dessert tours. The tours includes 3-4 tastings at each of the 5-7 venues we will visit.

Historical
Midtown
In 1836 Atlanta was nothing more than a settlement know as Terminus. It was called this because this was the hub of the Atlantica-Pacific Rail Road which linked Savannah to the Midwest.
By 1842 the town had 6 buildings and 30 residents and was renamed
Marthasville in honor of Govenor Wilson Lumpkin's daughter.
J. Edgar Thomson, Cheif Engineer of the Georgia Rail Road suggested that the name be changed to Atlantica-Pacifica which was shortened to Atlanta. The name change was approved by the residents of the town and was incorporated as Atlanta on December 29, 1847.
On each Midtown Tasty Tour guests will learn of the fascinating history of the area. We will walk it's beautiful streets, sample glorious food and step back in time for an afternoon. Below is a snipet of Atlanta's
history.
